At Papa, companion caregivers are Papa Pals. They work in their own communities supporting Papa members, including older adults, seniors, and families.  

Papa Pals help people in their neighborhoods with things like companionship, help around the house, shopping, and transportation.

Qualities of great companion caregivers

It might surprise you to learn that you don't need specific qualifications to work as a companion caregiver. The job doesn’t require medical licensing. 

Companion caregivers often have experience caring for others, plus a range of paid work and volunteer experience. While no two companion caregivers are the same, all share valuable qualities such as empathy and patience
