Scheduling Visits Directly in the Papa Pal App
Plan future visits directly in the Papa Pal app with ease
We know that many of you often work outside of Papa to align on visit times with your trusted members. In an effort to give you even more scheduling control and to make your planning process easier, we’ve introduced a way for you to schedule your next visit with a member directly in the Papa Pal app.
This guide details the benefits of this feature and how to use it.
Key Benefits
- Flexible Planning: Choose the visit times that work best for you and your member.
- Save Time: No more back-and-forth calls or waiting for confirmation—handle it all within the app.
- Instant Confirmation: Visits you schedule are automatically accepted or made available to other Pals if needed.
How it Works
- Start an Active Visit: Once your visit begins, check for the “Schedule next visit” button in the Papa Pal app. If the member is eligible to have this feature, it will appear.
- Discuss with Your Member: Sometime during your visit, kindly ask if they’d like to schedule their next visit.
- Tap and Add the Details: If they say yes, open the app, tap “Schedule next visit” and fill in the details, including date, time, and who will complete the visit (you or another Pal).
- Acknowledge Consent and Schedule: Review the visit details with your member and acknowledge that you have the approval to schedule the visit.
Once you've completed these steps, hit "Schedule Visit" and that's it! The member will receive a confirmation message once the visit is successfully scheduled.
Important to Remember:
- You must be on an active visit and with the member to use this feature.
- Always get the member’s consent before scheduling. Using this feature without consent may result in removal from the platform.
- Not every health plan allows in-app scheduling, so the option may not appear for each visit
- Pals cannot schedule visits if the date and time overlap with another visit the member has scheduled
- Visits must take place within Papa's operating hours (8am - 7pm)
- Members need enough Papa hours to schedule a new visit
- When scheduling a transportation visit:
- Make sure you go through the driving standard details with the member and add information about mobility aids they may need.
- Each trip needs to be a round trip and must start and end at the member’s home.
- You will only be able to add one location in the app but you can drive the member to additional locations if you both are in agreement.
