New Papa Pal App Update

Updates to Improve Your Papa Pal Experience

We've just released an exciting update to your Papa Pal App, which brings a refreshed design and new features that will make your job easier! Here's what’s new:

More Information About Visits

  • Messages from your member - Read messages directly from your member to help you best prepare for your visit.
  • Improved "Special Considerations" and "Things to Know" sections - Easily see important details about the visit or member, like health plan restrictions or mobility device requirements.

Preferred Pals Can Now Reschedule Visits

  • Most of your Preferred Pal visits can be rescheduled, when necessary, directly in the app.
  • Look for the new rescheduling option at the bottom of the Visit Details screen.
  • For medical appointment visits, members will need to reschedule themselves.

Q & A

When Should I Use In-App Emergency Support?

The Emergency Support feature in the Papa Pal app is a crucial safety tool, but it's essential to use it correctly.

When to Turn to Emergency Support

  • If you feel unsafe during a visit or a member needs help.
  • If calling 911 is not possible or you’re unsure whether to call 911.

Note: For emergencies needing immediate medical, police, or firefighter assistance, always dial 9-1-1 first. After ensuring your safety, inform Papa Support about the incident.

Remember, the Emergency Support feature should be reserved for true emergencies only. Using it inappropriately can delay response times for those in genuine need of urgent help.

If you face any non-emergency challenges during a visit, such as being unable to reach a member or needing guidance, please contact Papa Support directly through the in-app chat. Our team is here to assist you promptly.

Pal Tip

2 Things to Remember Before Your Next Visit

As a Papa Pal, delivering exceptional and safe care is a top priority, so we want to remind you about two crucial visit standards.

  1. Pals are prohibited from bringing another guest to a visit: This includes friends, family members, children, or pets. This rule is very important for member privacy and safety. If you break this rule, you will be permanently dismissed as a Papa Pal.
  2. Please call Members to confirm your visit: We strongly suggest calling the member 24 hours before the visit to confirm you are still coming. This simple gesture goes a long way in providing our members with a sense of confidence and reducing any potential worries about rescheduling or missed visits.

Please review all of Papa’s Visit Standards regularly. Following these rules helps us deliver the highest quality care while keeping both our Pals and Members safe.

More Than Just a Helping Hand

A Pal's Encouragement Restores Hope and Self-Belief

At Papa, our Pals often go above and beyond to uplift and inspire their members — a sentiment perfectly captured in this member's story of how their Pal, Diana, reignited their faith in themselves during a challenging period.
