2. University Jobs
Sometimes the simplest solution is the right one. Have you ever thought to ask your college staff department if they are hiring? Colleges and Universities are constantly hiring students for administrative positions, office assistants, help in the tech department, or with student relations. There are tons of jobs that are set aside each year specifically for active students to fill. Even if there isn’t an opportunity at the University you’re attending, don’t be discouraged. There are plenty of other options in the Tampa/St. Petersburg area.
3. Restaurants
A lot of people have a bad perception of jobs in the service industry. Late nights and stressful shifts are some of the thoughts that come to mind. Once you get the hang of it though, restaurant jobs, whether you’re a waiter, busboy, or bartender can be a lot of fun! Not to mention they typically pay cash and come with some perks like discounted food & drink when you visit off-hours.
If you can work 5+ nights a week (including weekends), you should rake in plenty of money to get you through your college years.
4. Tutor
Tutoring is a great way to take advantage of skills you already have and make money doing it. Is there a class you have down pat that others seem to struggle with? There are always students struggling in whatever classes you may be taking or have already taken, so the demand is there. Those same students are willing to pay for your help!
Did you know tutors make anywhere from $30-$60 an hour depending on the criteria? A few flyers posted on campus along with some social media marketing can drum up a client base for you in no time.
At Papa, we are here to help you find flexible jobs that fit in with your schedule. It’s time to apply now and make that extra cash!
